The 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨 (SAGA) project was recently launched at the Archivo Histórico Nacional, Madrid. This project is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
SAGA is a vital initiative dedicated to achieving the following primary objectives:
- Prepare, improve and test archival institutions with regard to resilience and recovery against disasters and climate change,
- Develop pilot solutions and joint recommendations for the protection and management of documentary heritage,
- Foster the adoption of more sustainable practices.

At the launch meeting project partners presented on their work packages, collaborations were discussed and a full schedule of work and activities was launched, with project completion in September 2027 .
